Throughout the past year, Peter Mitelman, President of GSI, has consistently laid out a vision for GSI’s software offerings to incorporate greater intelligence. Noting that the first SMART modules were introduced almost 15 years ago, Mitelman said, “ I want my software to be SMARTER! I want it to think for you …like you! I want it to make your decisions and your lives easier. In so doing, I want to give you the competitive edge …that little extra!”
Mitelman focuses on the body of knowledge incorporated in Retail-1. “I want to take advantage of the 25 years of retail experience all built into our applications and database. Everything we have learned from you!” he said.
As guidelines for both current and future development, he challenged both GSI customers and employees. “I want us to ‘think outside the box’ because that’s what it is going to take to thrive in today’s retail industry. I want to have a skill set in our organization that can make these dreams come to life. I also want to take advantage of the amazing technologies that are available today,” he said.
